GOOD STUFF FOR HOME AND GARDEN
The end of season always precipitates a shift in retailers who might want to exit before the summer doldrums really set in
We’ve noticed the stirrings of changes along the south dixie commercial corridor which you might find interesting
Table 26, the new restaurant space across from the Gatsby Building, close to the Norton Museum, is rolling right along….landscaping is going in, awning frames have been erected and the sign is up on the street facing side of the building….this is going to be a hot spot!
Excentricities is hitting it’s stride and folks are responding warmly to Carol Adams’ new location….Alan J. Alan has consolidated his multiple locations in one spot down thataway
we’ve heard that A.B. Levy antiques has purchased the old Alan J. Alan lighting store a few steps away from the Peggy Adams thrift store….Levy will be featuring regular antique auctions from this building to complement his retail space on Worth Avenue
there is a pretty groovy high end clothing consignment store now open next to the Gyrotronics spa….we don’t know much about the selections on the ladies side, but beautiful white Ralphie trousers for men had a price tag of $250 for the pair….a little steeper than the Goodwill down the street
White Lotus Asian Antiques has left it’s location across from the Dunkin Donuts at the north end of Antiques Row….we hear the inventory is being relocated to Chicago….right in the heart of the Row, it is rumoured that N.P. Trent is making it’s long anticipated move up to Hudson, New York….if this is true they will be sorely missed
several consignment galleries between Bunker and Forest Hill are closing or relocating… Netties and the Palm Beach Home Collection continue going strong and will be open all summer with their offerings of consigned goods
rumors sweep the street about new retailers and restaurants looking for space, so we expect some additional movement before the new season begins
