According to the website Luxpresso, which reports on the spending habits of the rich and famous, there are twelve very expensive pure dog breeds in high demand around the world
Ranging in price from $1,500 to $50,000 per puppy, these are the most sought after:
Tibetan Mastiff
French Mastiff
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Saluki
Chow Chow
Egyptian Pharoah Hound
Old English Bulldog
Canadian Eskimo Dog
Lowchen
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
German Shepard
Samoyed
We’ve encountered some of the breeds on the list, but we can’t recall ever having met an Egyptian Pharoah Hound or a Lowchen
As the concierge/servant/caregiver/provider for three Pembroke Welsh Corgis, we feel pretty chuffed that we are in the world’s elite….but the fancy folks at Luxpresso have never seen three welsh corgis rolling in cow poop or deer scat or their rear ends sticking out of the overturned garbage can in the driveway…they don’t look quite so elegant then!
