Inspired by the historic olive oil jars of Biot, Provence, these vessels are crafted in the traditional rounded form that made the region famous for its exceptional pottery. Featuring a bulbous body and rolled rim neck, each jar showcases the classic contrast of a soft ochre glazed upper section against the natural beige tone of the clay body. The surfaces are intentionally textured with subtle variations that evoke the beautifully weathered patina seen on centuries-old Provençal jars.

Often referred to as the “king of jars” in Southern France, Biot olive jars were historically used to transport and store olive oil throughout the 17th and 18th centuries. Their sculptural presence and timeless rustic character make them a striking addition to gardens, entryways, terraces, and interior spaces alike.
